What better way to start a Black Friday sales event than with the highly anticipated release of the Dynamic+ suite for the B9 generation 2.0T! The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. In between sessions at Willow Springs on Wednesday, November 20th, I found myself uploading data logs to 034Motorsport and sending updates to the team. A little boredom led to some casual scrolling through Facebook, and there it was—a very low-key, yet thrilling, announcement post: the official release of the software I’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy for over three years. It’s finally here—a refined and polished version of what ignited my track addiction in the first place.

Initial Release Details
The launch availability includes Stage 1 with 91 and 93 octane maps. On 91 octane, the car delivers 307 HP and 348 lb-ft of torque at the crank, while the 93 octane map (a big miss for us Californians without access to 93) increases power to 334 HP and 370 lb-ft. For those waiting for more, the upcoming Stage 1+ E85 figures have also been teased, but availability is still labeled as “Coming Soon!” Given that it’s already listed on the product page, it’s likely just around the corner.

Features and Improvements
Beyond the power figures, some of the most exciting updates come from the added features. Unlike the earlier revision, the final file doesn’t raise the engine’s redline beyond 7000 RPM—a smart decision to maintain wear and tear on engine internals, especially valve springs, at factory-like levels. Another notable addition is the memory function for the Auto Start/Stop feature. While this might be a convenience for some, on manual transmission cars, it can be a bit awkward—giving the impression of a stalled vehicle every time it shuts off.
Where this tune truly shines is in its smooth yet aggressive torque delivery in the low to mid-range. The oil management system has also been significantly enhanced. In stock form, the ECU regulates oil pressure to peak at 60 psi under load or above 3000 RPM, while dropping as low as 20-22 psi below those thresholds. With the new tune, oil pressure peaks much earlier—around 2200 RPM—even under mild load. This improvement is critical, as oil starvation was what killed my original engine.
Compatibility and Notes
The Dynamic+ suite is currently compatible with 2017-2019 models equipped with the EA888 Gen 3 engine. Unfortunately, the Gen 4 engines found in 2021-current B9.5 models use a different controller and communication protocol. However, 034Motorsport is actively working on compatibility for those models and will release updates when ready.

As for the TCU file, it’s available for the DL382 Gen 1 transmission found in 2017 to early 2019 builds. Although no TCU file exists for the Gen 2 transmission yet, the software has been optimized for safe torque delivery without requiring a TCU tune. For those running the manual transmission, Stage 1 gains should be manageable without additional upgrades—provided the car is otherwise stock. That said, upgrading the clutch is highly recommended for long-term reliability. In my case, I had a brand-new OEM clutch modified by South Bend, and it’s been rock-solid for over 20,000 miles since installation.
Final Thoughts
For detailed descriptions, data, and compatibility information, be sure to check out the product page. If you’ve been on the fence about upgrading, I can’t recommend this software enough. It’s a game-changer—refined, reliable, and ready to take your B9 to the next level.
